Construction Environment Management Plan
The Construction Environment Management Plan for the project has been published, outlining full details of the controls in place and the noise plan for the site.

 

Preparatory work begins following signing of project contract
The contractor for the NESS project, Acciona, has begun preparatory works on site. A range of stakeholder engagement opportunities are planned, including regular information sessions that will be advertised by Acciona soon. 

 

Contract award ratified for north-east energy from waste facility
The award of the contract to build and operate the energy from waste plant for Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council and Moray Council has been approved by the three local authorities.

 

Preferred Bidder Selected
A preferred bidder to build and operate the energy from waste plant for Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Moray Councils has been selected.

 

Site investigations starting at NESS energy from waste plant
Site investigations are starting on Monday (27 August) for the new energy from waste plant which is being built to deal with waste which cannot be recycled from three north-east local authorities. 

 

Site for proposed Efw development cleared and made ready
The site for the proposed EfW facility in East Tullos is currently owned by Scotia Gas Networks (SGN) and has been the site of a gasholder and distribution centre since the 1950s.

 

Dialogue based procurement process to begin
The Energy from Waste project for Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray Councils took a step forward with the announcement that four bidders have been taken forward to discuss their proposals and tenders.
